Course description The GSM/UMTS core network functions are examined in the view of its evolution. We look at the Open Service Access (OSA), LCS and CAMEL. The IP Multimedia Core Network Subsystem (IMS) is studied both from the application and bearer view. The most important end-to-end Quality of Service (QoS) is analysed both for packet and circuit transmission.
